Belgard Fence Installation: The Dallas Owner’s Guide
Belgard fence installation in Dallas typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a complete run with branded panels, posts, and hardware, including labor and materials. Most homeowners call us after a panel has cracked at the post connection or a gate has started dragging on the latch side, and in most Dallas neighborhoods we can get a crew out within a few days of the first call.
The usual story sounds the same: the fence looked fine in the listing photos, a hard storm rolled through, and now two or three panels wobble when the wind picks up. Maybe the post footing has cracked around the base, or the gate hinges have pulled loose from the picket. That’s the moment to get it addressed, because a leaning fence puts pressure on every connection down the line.
Which Belgard Models This Applies To

Belgard’s fence lineup centers on the Elements Modular Fence System, which includes the Estate, Metropolitan, and Cazo panel profiles, plus the post-and-panel kits built for wind zones above 100 mph. The gotcha most Dallas homeowners miss is that Belgard fence panels are not interchangeable across all three profiles. A Cazo panel will not seat into a Metropolitan post without a splice adapter that Belgard sells separately, and most big-box stores don’t carry it. If you have the original installation paperwork, the panel SKU is printed on the inside of the post cap; if not, measure the panel width at the widest point. Estate panels run 72 inches wide, Metropolitan runs 72 but with a different reveal pattern, and Cazo runs 64 inches with a narrower post channel.
We install genuine Belgard panels whenever they’re available, because the color consistency across a run matters and Belgard’s UV-stable colorants hold up better in Texas sun than most aftermarket equivalents. For discontinued colors or panels no longer in production, we can source a matched aftermarket panel and color-tint the post caps to blend. Penhallow Remodeling Dallas is an independent contractor and not affiliated with Belgard, but we’ve installed enough of their product over the years to know what seats cleanly and what doesn’t.

Signs Your Belgard Fence Installation Is Failing
- Panels rocking at the post connection. The aluminum post insert is loose or the post itself has shifted in the footing. Either way, wind load is now working against the whole section, and it gets worse before it gets better.
- Gate dragging on the strike side. This is almost always a hinge post that has rotated slightly out of plumb, not a gate that suddenly gained weight. Tightening the hinge bolts rarely fixes it because the post, not the bolt, is the problem.
- Cracks running from the panel edges inward. Concrete composite panels expand and contract more than people expect. Panels installed tight against one another with no expansion gap will crack at the corners within a season or two in Dallas heat.
- Discoloration that won’t clean off. If the panel color has gone chalky and the chalk doesn’t wipe away with a damp cloth, that’s UV degradation of the surface layer. It’s cosmetic today but weakens the panel surface over time.
- Post caps popping off on their own. The cap is the canary in the coal mine. If the post has twisted or the insert has loosened, caps pop first, and they pop because the post is moving under load.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Belgard fence installation in Dallas generally runs $3,500 to $9,000, and the spread comes down to three things: linear footage, the panel profile you already have, and what’s going on below grade. Replacing just a failed section or two usually falls on the lower end of that range. A full perimeter with a gate and new footings lands on the higher end.
Every price we give is written before work starts, per the Kingswell standard we’ve operated under since 2004. You’ll see the panel cost, post cost, footing work, hardware, and labor as separate line items, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. The number on day one is the number on the invoice. And if something fails inside a year, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and fix it at no charge, in writing, on every Belgard fence job we do.
DIY or Call Us?
A homeowner can safely remove a popped post cap and check the insert bolts underneath. That’s a five-minute look and it tells you whether the post is still plumb. What’s not a DIY job is resetting a post in a concrete footing or re-hanging a full-width gate. A gate that comes off its hinges is hundreds of pounds, and a post that needs re-seating means digging, setting, and bracing while the concrete cures.
If you want to check a few posts yourself before calling, we’ll walk you through what to look at and what it means. But if you’ve got a panel cracked at the connection or a gate pulling hard against the latch, call us at (940) 204-5368 and we’ll get a real answer in front of you. No pressure, just a number before we pick up a tool. Give you a number before I pick up a tool, that’s the only way I know how to start.
FAQs

A properly installed Belgard fence in Dallas lasts 20 to 25 years on average, with panels typically outlasting the post footings. Texas heat is hard on the surface color, but the structural integrity holds if the posts are set deep enough and expansion gaps were left between panels.
A hairline crack at the panel edge can sometimes be stabilized with a color-matched filler, but that buys time rather than restoring strength. Once a crack runs through the full panel thickness, replacement is the honest fix. Call (940) 204-5368 and we’ll tell you which one you’re looking at. Estimates are free.
A section replacement typically takes one day. A full fence with new footings usually takes two to three days, including concrete cure time before the panels are fully loaded. We’ll give you a defined arrival window before work starts.
We keep the most common panel profiles and post sizes on order with our local supplier and can have them on-site within a few working days. Discontinued colors take longer, and we’ll tell you that up front. For an exact match, call (940) 204-5368 and we’ll pull the spec before quoting.
